Have you ever found yourself  wanting to ask a question? Or respond to a post in a hair care blog, website, or forum? Instead of trolling their page everyday like a creep...LOL. You have finally summoned up the courage to publish a post or inquiry. You are so proud of yourself.  All of a sudden SOMEONE RESPONDS to your post or inquiry. You are so excited UNTIL you see the response.
This person has used nothing but acronyms. Except for the standard LOL, BRB, CTHU and etc.  you haven't the slightest clue what these particular acronyms mean. You want to seem like you know what they are talking about in their post. So you  thank them for their help and quickly log off. Now you are on the end of your computer screen confused or like this ....................LOL

Do not feel bad , I (Red Velvet) had the same issue for a brief moment in 07/08 (when I first started my natural hair journey). Thankfully, I am a quick learner and caught on very quickly. It wasn't until earlier this month I thought it would be informative and cool to present our readers with a Guide to Natural Hair Care Acronyms. So have no fear Red Velvet is here....(LOL) to give you the breakdown on those Natural Hair Care Acronyms. If  there is an acronym that you feel I have forgotten to include in this guide. 1. You still haven't fully explained how you can tell if you have 2a, 2b, 2c, 3a, 3b, 3c, etc. Also, what does dh have to do with hair unless your darling husband is doing it himself. What if you don't have a husband? Then that acronym is irrelevant. And do they really care unless you doing your hair is holding him up for the function you both are suppose to be going to? I'm just saying.

    1. Dear Anonymous,

Coco and I have a post coming out soon explaining exactly what 2a-4c hair is subscribe to our blog and you will know when it comes out. Depending on the person the acronyms DH can be either relevant or irrelevant. You would be surprised how many husbands care about their wife's hair. I am simply giving the definitions of acronyms commonly found in hair care forums, websites and etc. Thank you for your comment
